Tour reservations are highly recommended, especially if your time in Salem is limited. Tours normally begin at the Witches Cottage at the Griffen Theatre. The theatre is located at 7 Lynde St., behind Ben and Jerry's on the corner (Washington St.), near the Witch Dungeon. The tour ends back at the Witches Cottage, or we will be happy to drop you at your next destination instead. Your personalized tour can also begin and end at the Hawthorne Hotel, or at any other Salem location convenient to you.

Tours are given daily from May through October, and by advance reservation only from November through April. (Riding in a pedicab isn't quite as much fun when it's cold outside, but if you're ready, we're willing.) We are available year-round for special occasions.

We specialize in tours of the Samuel McIntire Historic District, where we give you time to follow your own interests and see the side streets where the trolleys cannot go. We also design custom tours, and provide comfortable point-to-point transportation complete with personal concierge service to help you maximize the value of your visit to Salem. Our pedicabs hold two adults comfortably, and will be pedaled by a professional driver who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and fully licensed and insured.

Company Profile
Historic Salem Pedicab Tours is owned and operated by Joel Caron, an adjunct professor at Salem State College. Joel was born and raised in Salem's McIntire Historic District and has observed and marveled at its changes and preservation over many decades. Besides being a college professor, Joel is a retired Air Force Reserve pilot, a many-time finisher of the Boston Marathon, and an occasional cross-country coach, actor, and stand-up comedian. He personally leads every tour.
